Glad to be back.

It's great to be dancing again after the Christmas break. The Groovers class in Effingham eased themselves back into it with dances learned last term and a few new ones. This term they look forward to dancing to Madonna and Will Young.

The Steppers are determined to dance well at our annual display despite being under constant pressure from school work and exams. At the display on 30th January they will perform a line dance which they have only 20 minutes to learn. The Challenge Dance is always popular and will be taught next week - the last class before the event.

Meanwhile all our classes are practising hard.

Dance Classes

Our youngest pupils enjoy dressing up.

Our dance classes range from 2 years old to adult and are always friendly, inspiring and full of fun!

What better way to keep fit and young than to dance? It is a wonderful sociable way to improve flexibility and coordination whilst listening to good music.

Plenty of repetition and practise helps the learning of new steps, rhythms and routines. But the variety of styles and new routines taught leaves no time to get bored.

It is sometimes hard to choose a favourite style of dance - Latin American, Ballroom, Freestyle, Street Dance, Line Dance or all of them. Why not try them out?

Our classes take place in Ockley, Capel and Effingham. Private lessons are available. See our timetable and class descriptions for more details.

Pairs Routine.

Working together

Lucy and Aysha have been practising hard for their pairs routine to be shown at the Dancetime Display at The Tylney Hall, Leatherhead Leisure Centre on Saturday 30th January at 2.00pm.

The girls have choreographed the dance themselves to Rihanna's track "Disturbia".

Both are excited to be in the display and are looking forward to receiving their hard earned medals from the examinations taken before Christmas at the event.

First Day.

A happy start.

The 14th January was a special day for two young dancers. It was their first time at Dancetime in Effingham.

As always, the existing pupils in the Springers class were very welcoming and helpful so they did not feel out of place. Already some of the tricky steps have been mastered and it won't be long before our newcomers are dancing as confidently as everyone else.

The class taught many styles of dance within the 75 minutes; Latin American, freestyle, line dance and a fun dance using pom poms. A new street routine will be introduced at the beginning of February.

So much enjoyment comes from dancing at this age. Our pupils are always smiling. See the mugshot below!

Love Dancing? - Love Life!

If you want to dance where better to learn than Dancetime? The dance school has a friendly, fun-loving atmosphere with dedicated teachers and assistants. What better way to improve your fitness, poise and confidence?

Whether you prefer Latin or Line, Freestyle or Street you will find something to suit you at Dancetime.

Our classes offer a mix of styles so you can dance to many different rhythms or just concentrate on your favourite dance style through private lessons.

If you are soon to be married we can choreograph your first dance specifically for you to your chosen music.

You are never too young or to old to dance! We teach pupils from 3 years old to adult.
