Dance Tuition

Dance Tuition.

Dancetime offers classes, private lessons, wedding dances and parties.

Improve your poise, fitness and coordination whilst learning dances to a variety of rhythms in a happy environment.

Our school is based in Effingham and Ockley ideal for residents in Bookham, Fetcham, Holmwood, Capel, Ewhurst, Cranleigh and surrounding villages.

We provide encouragement, explanation and enjoyment so even the dancer lacking in rhythm and with two left feet progresses quickly!

Dance styles include: Freestyle, Line Dance, Ballroom and Latin American.

Classes
Our classes are friendly, focussed and fun.

Careful instruction, demonstration and practice are fundamental to all of our lessons. We expect you to leave the class happy and confident that you have learned something new, and be eager to return.

Our children’s classes are packed with variety. Pupils receive rewards and incentives throughout the term. We also enter candidates for IDTA medals twice a year.

Dances taught are tailored to the needs of our pupils, their age and ability.

Adult beginner ball room and Latin American classes are held in Ockley.

We are hoping to start a beginner Line Dance class in Ockley. Interested?

Medal Test

Medal Test Saturday 19th May 2012

On Saturday 19th May 21 pupils from Dancetime arrived at North Holmwood Village Hall to take part in our Medal Test.

Candidates entered between two and four medals each showing the hard work and dedication they put into their lessons.
The session started with the Paso Doble ably danced by three of our Springers.

This was followed by our Stardance candidates. The examiner, Mrs Lawler of the IDTA went on to examine freestyle, street and line dance entries.

The morning culminated with our youngest pupils demonstrating their prowess at ballroom dancing at the Rosette level.
Everybody dressed smartly and danced their socks off.

The morning ran to time and all seemed as relaxed as they could be.
Thanks go to Tina, Esme and Lucy for their assistance in organising and running the morning.

Medals and certificates will be presented in class on 27th and 28th June. Parents are invited to attend.
